Farmland Prices

In an on going study of farmland sales in Kent and Queen Anne's Counties, Maryland we found that farmland prices (100+ acre tracts) rose at nearly the same rate from 1997 through 2006.  When you compare the development pressures in Queen Anne's County and the lack of development pressures in Kent County the data suggests that development pressures are not the cause of the farmland price increases in Queen Anne's County.
